Churches in Aberdeen..

The Scottish Episcopal Church is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, with seven historic dioceses covering the whole of Scotland bearing witness to faith today, and tracing a history back to the earliest known Christians in Scotland. We are part of the world-wide Anglican Communion - a family of some 70 million Christians in more than 160 countries - for whom the Archbishop of Canterbury is a focus for unity.

Within our Church there are seven historic regions covering the whole of Scotland. Each area (known as a diocese) is under the pastoral care of a bishop, who together with the clergy and people of the diocese, seeks to be faithful to Jesus Christ and to respond faithfully to the spiritual needs and practical concerns of the community.

We are governed by a representative body - known as the General Synod - of bishops, clergy and lay people which meets each year.
